Advancing Equity in US Health Care
The 2024 Commonwealth Fund report examines data for 25 health system performance indicators, with a focus on health outcomes, access to health care, and quality and use of health services for Black, White, Hispanic, American Indian and Alaska Native, and Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander populations, including actionable tools to help bridge these gaps.
In addition, a new National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine report highlights the structural inequities driving unequal health care and provides five goals for Congress, government agencies, and funders to address these issues.
