President & CEO

Polly E. Parsons, MD, MACP, FCCP, ATSF

Dr. Parsons serves as the AAIM President and CEO, a position she started in July 2022. She also currently serves as Professor of Medicine Emerita at the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont. Dr. Parsons serves as AAIM’s primary representative to a wide range of entities, including aligned academic and medical professional societies, certifying and accrediting organizations, national leaders in undergraduate and graduate medical education, and other organizations which support the advancement of AAIM’s mission and vision. The AAIM President is responsible for the overall fiscal and strategic performance of the Alliance and ensures the development and execution of the strategic plan.

Tameka joined the Alliance in January 2020 and oversees member engagement programs and initiatives. She also supports member relations and efforts related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Tameka reports to the Senior Director of Member Engagement, Diversity, and Inclusion.
