AAIM Celebrates All LGBTQ+ Faculty, Administrators, Learners, and Patients

In recognition of Pride Month, celebrated annually in June, the Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine (AAIM) speaks out in support of all LGBTQ+ faculty, administrators, learners, and patients, recognizing the impact that lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals have had on history nationally and internationally.

Particularly as federal and state legislatures debate access and rights to care for individuals in the LGBTQ+ community, AAIM is committed to supporting, understanding, and championing the LGBTQ+ community to ensure all members and staff feel welcome and included in the academic internal medicine community.  If you are interested in supporting these efforts, the Alliance encourages you to learn more about educational resources and advocacy in health care.

Your feedback and ideas on how the organization can support the LGBTQ+ community is critical to the Alliance’s efforts. We encourage you to connect with leaders as well as your colleagues through the AAIM Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion online discussion forum and the other member association forums.

The Alliance is Even Better Together.

Sincerely,
