Call for Poster Abstracts

All AAIM members are invited to submit a workshop and/or poster abstract proposal for the 2024 APDIM Fall Meeting, September 12-14, in Minneapolis, MN.

2024 APDIM Fall Meeting Posters

APDIM Fall posters will be displayed and presented during the September 13 poster reception. In addition to presenting in-person at the 2024 APDIM Fall Meeting, all accepted poster presenters will provide a pre-recorded presentation for on-demand viewing during and after the meeting. 
 
APDIM Fall Meeting has two poster abstract submission categories: Programmatic Innovation and Research. 
Research Programmatic Innovation
Research abstract submission fields include: Programmatic innovation abstract submission include:
  • Background or introductory information
  • Aim
  • Methods
  • Results of the research
  • Brief discussion or conclusion
  • Explanation of how the problem was identified and explored
  • Description of the innovations
  • Results to date
  • Discussion/reflection/lessons learned
  • Tips and tools or works in progress are considered programmatic innovations
 
Submissions will open on Monday, April 22 and remain open through Friday, May 10.

Additional Information

Accepted poster presenters who do not provide a digital poster and recorded presentation by the published deadline will have their poster removed from the agenda and be prohibited from presenting.
 
APDIM Program Planning Committee will review all workshop and poster abstract proposals and reserve the right to refuse any proposal without cause.
Please note:
  • AAIM does not waive registration fees or reimburse expenses for workshop presenters.
  • Each workshop may have up to four total presenters.
  • Workshop presenters may not participate in more than one proposal.
  • Workshop presenters will pre-record their presentation for on-demand viewing after the meeting.
  • The primary submitter is responsible for providing all co-presenter names and contact information to AAIM.
  • All workshop and poster abstract communications will be sent to primary submitter only.

Poster Abstract Guidelines


Tips for a Successful Poster Abstract Submission

  • Keep poster abstract titles succinct and to the point.
  • Use title case for poster abstract titles (ex. A Novel Curriculum for Systems-Based Practice); do not use all capital letters. Click here for a quick a title case converter tool.
  • Poster abstracts that present clinical studies or clinical research out of the context of student, resident, or fellowship education or programmatic innovation will not be reviewed.
  • Poster abstract descriptions should be no longer than 350 words.
  • Poster abstract marketing description will be used in all promotional materials for the virtual poster session and should be no longer than 250 words.
