December 2021—AAIM encourages programs to adopt and use the most current version of the Verification of Graduate Medical Education Training (VGMET) form. Designed to streamline and standardize the residency verification process and meet hospital credentialing needs, the template letter and form—updated in March 2021—provide the necessary information to meet credentialing needs while reducing the need for residency programs to complete multiple requests for information.
