Call for Nominating Committee Members

Thank you for your interest in serving a two-year term on the AAIM Nominating Committee (October 1, 2025-June 30, 2027).  The Alliance uses a form-based, self-nomination process to collect applications to serve on committees.  Please note that being selected to serve on the AAIM Nominating Committee disqualifies an applicant from running for a position on the AAIM Board of Directors during their term of service.

All applicants must be current, engaged members of AAIM; all faculty and administrator members are welcome to apply.  Applications are now closed.

The Alliance seeks applicants that represent the broad diversity of its membership, in terms of individual sex, race, gender identity, ethnicity, and sexual orientation as well as faculty or administrator roles, institution type, program size, patient population, and location.  Review the AAIM Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Statement

Change in AAIM Governance Structure

As of July 1, 2025, the Alliance has undertaken an effort to move from a representative-based governance entity to a competency/expertise-based board of directors.

Term and Time Commitment

The Alliance seeks applicants to serve a two-year term on the newly formed AAIM Nominating Committee.

Due to the newness of the committee, the work timeline will be compressed in year one, particularly between October and April. Specifically, committee members will be asked to be prepared to actively participate in alternate week conference calls between October and mid-December as well as be highly responsive via email.

No travel is anticipated for this committee.

Application

All applicants must:

  • Demonstrate strong engagement within the Alliance and its constituent entities.  Engagement may take many forms, including but not limited to service on the board of directors, councils, or committees/task forces; presenting or attending Alliance conference; or participating in any number of Alliance volunteer opportunities.  Engagement should be evidenced in a statement no longer than 250 words.
  • Upload a letter of interest.  Letters should be no longer than 500 words and should highlight key considerations of an applicant’s candidacy.
