In this session, the leaders of the writing group that developed the AAIM Recommendations for the 2021-2022 Internal Medicine Residency Interview Cycle led a discussion of the principles that shaped the guidance and recommend best practices for internal medicine residencies and medical school advisors, including an intentional focus on promoting equity and inclusion for applicants during the virtual interview process and on mitigating potential bias that virtual interviews can introduce or magnify.
