Physician-Scientist Career Path: Resilience and Wellness

This year’s theme will focus on addressing the Physician-Scientist Career Path: Resilience and Wellness, through the lens of preventing burnout in the era of COVID and promoting diversity to build community strength. The workshop will include:
- Keynote lecture on promoting a healthy career.
- Trainee panel perspective on wellness.
- Opportunities for interactive dialogue in one of four breakout sessions. Session topics include:
- mitigating impacts of COVID on physician-scientist development,
- wellness and resiliency in the post-COVID age,
- streamlining physician-scientist training to promote diversity, and
- improving the recruitment of women and underrepresented minority physician-scientist trainees
- Quickshots: 6 short presentations about exciting initiatives our colleagues have launched in Research Residency training and education at their institutions. Each 5-minute talk will cover a variety of topics. Talks will be pre-recorded followed by live Q&A.
