Internal Medicine Education Advisory Board

The Internal Medicine Education Advisory Board (IMEAB) was established in 2011 as a forum for discussion, collaboration, and consensus building around issues impacting the education of internal medicine physicians.

The scope of the IMEAB is to:

  • Facilitate communication among IMEAB member organizations on current, topical, and emerging issues in academic internal medicine
  • Focus on concerns related to the professional education of internal medicine physicians
  • Offer guidance, establish consensus, and/or draft recommendations whenever possible
  • Establish a culture of mutual accountability, benefiting the internal medicine education community as a whole
