The Internal Medicine Education Advisory Board (IMEAB) was established in 2011 as a forum for discussion, collaboration, and consensus building around issues impacting the education of internal medicine physicians.
The scope of the IMEAB is to:
- Facilitate communication among IMEAB member organizations on current, topical, and emerging issues in academic internal medicine
- Focus on concerns related to the professional education of internal medicine physicians
- Offer guidance, establish consensus, and/or draft recommendations whenever possible
- Establish a culture of mutual accountability, benefiting the internal medicine education community as a whole
