Apply to Volunteer for the AAIM Health Disparities Collaborative Learning Community

  

The AAIM Health Disparities Collaborative Learning Community (CLC) will be composed of a diverse group of Alliance members whose purpose is to identify and address educational gaps in how residents and students learn to address health care disparities. The group will develop curricula, toolkits, and other strategies to be disseminated to the medical education community to improve cultural competence and patient outcomes as well as help meet new regulatory requirements.

Volunteers are expected to:

  • Be a current member
  • Have been a member for at least three years
  • Have attended at least two Alliance meetings in the last four years
  • Be able to participate for the full term (July 1, 2019-June 30, 2020)
  • Be able to attend monthly conference call
  • Be able to attend in-person CLC meetings at the 2019 APDIM Fall Meeting or Academic Internal Medicine Week 2020
  • Be available to actively participate in resource development and meet deadlines
