The Alliance and 77 other organizations signed-on to and sent a letter to congressional leaders urging enactment of legislation that provides permanent protections for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients. The letter, which was also sent to Sen. Durbin and Sen. Graham, the sponsors of the Dream Act, outlines the invaluable contributions that "Dreamers" provide to the US health and biomedical workforce. Legislation is needed in light of recent court rulings that have left the DACA program in legal limbo.
