Residency faculty and staff identify the annual ACGME Resident and Faculty Survey as a stressor because of the implications for accreditation, vague and confusing language for trainees, and the pressure to make changes in their program to improve the survey.
To support members, the FAQ and two customizable slidesets, "Toolkit to Better Understand the ACGME Resident Survey" and the "Toolkit to Better Understand the ACGME Faculty Survey," have been updated for the upcoming survey season, which will be open February 13 to April 9. Residency leaders can use the slidesets (vetted by RC-IM) to communicate with residents/fellows and core faculty to help them better understand the specific language, requirements, and intent of the ACGME Survey.
