April 2022–Almost 3,000 incoming chief residents, residency and fellowship administrators, student educators, business administrators, and GME faculty came together for Academic Internal Medicine Week 2022, AAIM's first in-person conference in two years. Attendees, who were all fully vaccinated, wore optional masks and signaled their contact preferences via colored lanyards—but hugs and handshakes abounded as old friends reunited and colleagues forged new relationships in between inspirational plenaries and more than 115 workshops and small group sessions.
