December 2021—The AAMC Supplemental Application Work Group, which includes UME and GME representatives from the Alliance, has begun meeting to review preliminary information from the supplemental application pilot for internal medicine, dermatology, and surgery in the 2021-2022 cycle. More than 700 programs and 2,500 program users invited almost 28,000 applicants, who submitted 22,900 applications. The work group will continue to collect feedback (program directors and dashboard users should look for the recent survey request from AAMC) to refine the supplemental application signaling and the guidance provided to applicants, advisors, and programs about its utilization.
