October 2021—October 28 is National Internal Medicine Day, which celebrates the contributions of more than 300,000 internal medicine physicians united by a commitment to excellence around the world. The day recognizes the role of of internists in a variety of settings (hospitals, private practices, schools, and clinics) and in myriad roles (research, education, administrative, and clinical) as well as pioneers in medicine and "the doctor's doctor."
