February 2021-- Alliance members are invited to attend the upcoming webinar, “Applied Health Equity: The Black Coalition against COVID as a Potential Model,” Thursday, February 25, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. EST.
Facilitators will provide an overview of the impact that trust, patient-physician relationships, and the structure of the healthcare system have on health inequities and how the Black Coalition Against COVID can be a framework for faculty, staff, and learners in departments of internal medicine can begin to combat these challenges.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify barriers to implementation science in the African American Community and covid vaccine acceptance
- Identify potential solutions using a holistic community based approach
