How has the AAIM membership been of value to you and your career?
Networking, Networking, Networking! The Fall/Spring conference workshops allows one to meet new people and reconnect with others. In addition, the discussion boards have kept me from reinventing the wheel several times in my career!
What or who inspires you and why?
The sunset inspires me. When I look at it, I feel at peace, and more connected spiritually. They remind me of beauty when we find ourselves in a world that is seemingly more and more unkind.
What advice would you give to those who wish to pursue a career in this industry?
Allow yourself forgiveness when things do not go just right! Secondly, do not check your emails as you go to sleep, give yourself that time to breathe and renew.
What is your favorite book or movie?
My favorite all time book is “Little Women” by Louisa May Alcott, followed closely “The Secret Life of Bees” by Sue Monk Kidd
