The AAIM Executive Committee will meet today by conference call to examine the implications of COVID-19 on Academic Internal Medicine Week 2020, which will be held April 19-22 at the Tampa Convention Center. The Alliance understands that many members and registered conference participants impacted by travel restrictions at their own institutions are concerned about the status of AIMW20. The health and safety of members, registrants, speakers, exhibitors/sponsors, staff, and the community continue to be at the forefront of Alliance concerns. At this time, AAIM is exploring all available options for a contingency plan for AIMW20 and will continue to engage with peer organizations and monitor new developments in this constantly changing situation to make the best possible decisions. The Alliance will continue to provide regular updates via email on the status of AIMW20.
