Call for Submissions

AAIM members are invited to submit workshop sessions and/or poster abstract proposals for Academic Internal Medicine Week 2027 (AIMW27), taking place in Baltimore, MD April 4-7, 2027.

Workshop submissions will be open from Monday, July 13 through Friday, August 14. Submitting presenters will be notified of their status no later than October 31.

Workshop Submission Audiences

Intended audience: Residency and Fellowship Administrators, Coordinators, and Managers

This track is a two-day session that brings together program administrators / coordinators and fellowship coordinators involved in the support of accredited internal medicine residency or subspecialty fellowship training programs, and other administrators supporting GME training programs for learing, professional development, and networking. This track brings together more than 1,000 incoming chief residents (as of July 1) for education, professional development, and networking vital to their success. Please view the below video for complete details.

 

 

Intended audience: GME Faculty, Administrators, and Leaders

This track brings together program directors, associate and assistant program directors, core faculty, and other key faculty and staff involved in accredited internal medicine residency or subspecialty fellowship training for learning, professional development, and networking. Intended audience: UME Faculty, Administrators, and Leaders

This track brings together third year clerkship directors, ICM course directors, subinternship directors, clerkship administrators and coordinators, clinical preceptors, and other faculty and staff involved in undergraduate medical education for learning, professional development, and networking. Intended audience: Department and Division Business Administrators

This track brings together chief administrative officers, division administrators, administrative directors / managers, and other senior business administrators in departments of internal medicine for learning, professional development, and networking.

  • July 13: Submissions open

  • Nov. 30: Presenters notified of status

AIMW27 Workshop Presenter Policies

  • AAIM does not waive registration fees or reimburse expenses for workshop presenters.
  • Each workshop must have at least two presenters and up to six (6) total presenters.
  • Workshop presenters and co-presenters may not participate in more than two proposals.
  • All AIMW27 workshops are 60 minutes in length.
  • Accepted workshop presenters will be required to pre-record their presentation for on-demand viewing after the meeting.
  • The primary submitter is responsible for providing all co-presenter names and contact information to AAIM in a timely fashion.
  • AAIM program planning committees review all workshop and poster abstract proposals and reserve the right to refuse any proposal without cause.
  • Workshop presenters are expected to provide proper attribution/reference in all presented material as it relates to the inclusion of other authored material or AI generated content.
  • Accepted workshop speakers must be willing and available to present during all AIMW27 workshop times. Workshop schedule swaps will not be accommodated.
