AJM Announces Mindy J. Fain, MD, as Next Editor-in-Chief

Beginning in 2027, Mindy J. Fain, MD, will serve as Editor-in-Chief of The American Journal of Medicine (AJM).

A former ASP Councilor, Dr. Fain brings more than four decades of clinical, academic, and editorial leadership to the role, with a career spanning general internal medicine, geriatrics, palliative medicine, and aging research. She has served AJM since 2015 as Specialty Editor in Practical Geriatrics. Dr. Fain currently holds the Anne and Alden Hart Professor of Medicine and Professor of Nursing at the University of Arizona, where she is Chief of the Division of General Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, and Palliative Medicine and Director of the University of Arizona Center on Aging. She also serves as Executive Director of Practice Innovation at the Arizona Health Sciences Center.
