ACGME Shares Updated and Streamlined Requirement-Related Documents

To reduce community burden, standalone FAQ documents have been removed from the ACGME website. Relevant FAQs can now be found in the integrated appendix in all Common Program, specialty-/subspecialty-specific Program, Institutional, and Recognition Requirement documents. Within each document are direct links to the relevant FAQs, allowing users to navigate easily between the requirement document and its FAQ. Specialty/subspecialty requirements include both FAQs on Common Program Requirements and any specialty- and subspecialty-specific FAQs.

Moreover, several documents have been updated to reflect specialty- and subspecialty-specific Program Requirements in effect as of July 1, 2026, including: "Selected Topics Across Program Requirements" documents for Coordinator Dedicated Time, Core Faculty Dedicated Time, Program Leadership Dedicated Time, Number of Faculty, Program Director Qualifications, Resident/Fellow Scholarly Activity, Independent Practice, Direct Supervision Using Telecommunication, and Faculty Qualifications. These updated documents can be found on the Institutional Application and Requirements page of the website, under the "Selected Topics Across Program Requirements" heading.
