The Alliance joined organizations across science, research, policy, and education to jointly ask for a 45-day extension to the comment period for the proposed rule by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to revise Title 2 of the Code of Federal Regulations. Presently, comments are due July 13, 2026 and the co-signers requested that the comment period be extended to August 27, 2026.
