Since 2023, AAIM and Thalamus have met quarterly to share data and discuss challenges the GME community regularly encounters in their application screening, interview, and scheduling operations. These meetings have also explored opportunities to enhance Thalamus products and share best practices for communicating innovations and support resources with the internal medicine community, with the aim of streamlining the application, interview, and scheduling process.

Now complimentary to all ERAS-participating residency and fellowship programs starting in July 2025, Cortex is Thalamus’s application screening platform that uses AI and other technologies to streamline and facilitate application review. This software integrates with the Thalamus Holistic Review competency-based scoring system and across Thalamus products to provide comprehensive evaluation across the recruitment season.
Thalamus’s interview management platform, offering features that assist faculty and administrators facilitate interview scheduling, including applicant self-scheduling, track and deliver emails, manage waitlists, build reports and more. Thalamus Core also integrates with the Itinerary Wizard to build applicant and faculty interview day schedules, as well as Thalamus Holistic Review for competency-based scoring, evaluation, and rank list creation/management.
Thalamus’s data and analytics platform for programs and institutions. Cerebellum provides key summary statistics to evaluate recruitment performance, including geographic and representative recruitment outcomes.
