General FAQs

Why did the meeting name change?

To preserve the branding and name recognition of Academic Internal Medicine Week as the Alliance’s premiere in-person conference, the name was changed to AAIM Online 2021 to give the virtual event its own unique experience.

Why is the meeting taking place over two weeks

With the virtual option, we are not contractually bound to the same limited time frame of our live events, and do not need to run everything concurrently. Spreading the meeting across two weeks should help minimize “screen fatigue,” allow participants to access more content, and ensure that Alliance leaders have the opportunity to participate in more components of the conference.

How will I access AAIM Online 2021?

More information will be provided to all AAIM Online 2021 registrants in early April about accessing the virtual meeting site.

Will the sessions be available to view before the conference?

All available sessions will be posted to the meeting site and will be available once each meeting session begins. Available presentations will be exclusively available to meeting registrants only for 60 days.

Will AAIM Online 2021 have CME credit? How can I obtain my CME credit after the meeting?

Yes, the meeting will provide CME credits. The meeting evaluation will be sent out at the end of the meeting. Once it is completed, the evaluation will redirect you to the CME request form.

Do I need to attend live in order to get credit?

All sessions will be recorded. If you are unable to watch the live virtual conference, you can view the recordings on demand and claim credit for the recorded material for 60 days after the conference.

Who can I contact with questions before or during the conference?

Please email the AAIM Conference and Meetings team at meetings@im.org with any questions about AAIM Online 2021.
