SOAR: Community Giving Initiative

SOAR.pngThis year the SOAR (Students Overcome with Adequate Resources) Project would like to help The Kids In Need Foundation. The Kids In Need Foundation is an American national 501c charity that believes every child in America should have equal opportunity and access to a quality education. By partnering with teachers and students in under-resourced schools, The Kids In Need Foundation provides the support needed for teachers to teach and learners to learn.

Working together adds up fast. Each year, on average, The Kids In Need Foundation helps nearly 200,000 teachers and more than 5 million students in some of the most under-resourced communities across the country.

Though we are not meeting in person this year for AAIM, the idea behind the project is to pay forward to an underserved population by donating.  We are in the business of education; what better way to pay forward than to help such a program that helps a deserving school meet the needs of children?  We may very well be providing a student with support to fulfill their dream of becoming a doctor!

To donate, please visit their website at https://www.kinf.org/. Or, if you are more comfortable donating to a local children’s charity in your hometown, please do so.

As a group of caring individuals, we are positive that we can make a difference in the lives of young students.  Let’s pull together and see how far they SOAR!!!!

SOAR is an initiative of the CDIM Clerkship Administrators Advisory Council.
