I set my out of office email automatic reply and stayed home for two days. The APDIM spark was there, even though we were not together. We were able to discuss and question presenters in the chat function, as well as give shout outs to our friends. We couldn't be together in person but still - I learned a lot, was inspired and was reminded why it is such a privilege to hold this position as a PD and work with these colleagues across the country. And...I didn't have to navigate flight cancellations - they were already cancelled!

The APDIM Online 2020 meeting exceeded my expectations! I still miss the chance to meet with people in person, but I was impressed with the quality of the educational sessions and speakers, and as always am inspired to take the wonderful ideas I learn back to my home institution.

APDIM was a great experience! With everything that's been going on in 2020, it's often felt like our programs were in a holding pattern while we get through this crisis together. Being able to professionally develop and connect with colleagues online was a rewarding experience!

Even though we couldn't be together, the virtual meeting space gave a location to interact. The live chats during sessions were great. The sessions were recorded so we could listen later to ones that we didn't attend live. There were even ways to have networking events and poster sessions. I think ADPIM did a great job with planning this virtual meeting. It was great to connect with our community.

After the long hiatus due to COVID, it was so helpful - and a great relief - to finally be back together with my program director colleagues. We have suffered a shared trauma during 2020 in a very specific way that only IM program directors can truly understand. As an added bonus, I learned some new "tricks" and look forward to implementing them in my own program!
