Large Language Models for the Medical Educator

Internal medicine physician and medical education and artificial intelligence researcher Dr. Rodman will broadly address the current—and impending—impact of large language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT on academic internal medicine. He will go over the evidence on how trainees are using the technologies, provide concrete examples and demonstrate the technology on how language models can help streamline work in academic IM residencies, and discuss how academic medicine as a whole is going to change over the next several years.

Dates: April 14-15
This track is a two-day session that brings together residency and fellowship program administrators and coordinators, GME office administrators, and other administrators supporting GME training programs for education, professional development, and networking. (Formerly APDIM Program Administrators Meeting)

Med-Peds Faculty, Administrators, and Leaders Track

Dates: April 15-16
This track brings together medicine-pediatrics program directors, associate/assistant program directors, and administrators for education, professional development, and networking . (Formerly MPPDA Annual Meeting)

Department and Division Business Administrators Track

Dates: April 15-17
This track brings together chief administrative officers, division administrators, administrative directors and managers, and other business administrators in departments of internal medicine for education, professional development, and networking. (Formerly AIM Educational Conference)

GME Faculty, Administrators, and Leaders Track

Dates: April 15-17
This track brings together residency and fellowship program directors, associate/assistant program directors, core faculty, program administrators and coordinators, and other key faculty and staff involved in GME training programs for education, professional development, and networking. (Formerly APDIM Spring Meeting)

UME Faculty, Administrators, and Leaders Track 

Dates: April 15-17
This track brings together clerkship directors, ICM course directors, subinternship directors, clerkship administrators and coordinators, clinical preceptors, and other faculty and staff involved in undergraduate medical education for education, professional development, and networking. (Formerly Clerkship Administrators Meeting and CDIM National Meeting)
