Registration

How do I register?

To register for yourself:

  • Log into MyAAIM and select "Register for AAIM Events" from the MyAAIM navigation menu. 
  • Select the 2016 APDIM Spring Conference
  • Then select Register Myself
  • If you are registering for the 2016 APDIM Spring Meeting, the 2016 APDIM Program Administrators Meeting, the 2016 APDIM Spring Education Precourse, or the 2016 ASP Accreditation Seminar, please select the 2016 APDIM Spring Conference Registration as your primary meeting.  On the next screen you will be able to specify which of the meetings you will actually be attending.
  • If you are registering for the 2016 APDIM Chief Residents Meeting, please select that option on the first page after logging in.

To register a colleague:

  • Log into MyAAIM and select "Register for AAIM Events" from the MyAAIM navigation menu. 
  • Select the 2016 APDIM Spring Conference
  • Then select Register New or select the name of your colleague from the Register on Behalf of drop down menu
  • If you are registering for the 2016 APDIM Spring Meeting, the 2016 APDIM Program Administrators Meeting, the 2016 APDIM Spring Education Precourse, or the 2016 ASP Accreditation Seminar, please select the 2016 APDIM Spring Conference Registration as your primary meeting.  On the next screen you will be able to specify which of the meetings you will actually be attending.
  • If you are registering for the 2016 APDIM Chief Residents Meeting, please select that option on the first page after logging in.

Can I register even if I am not a member of AAIM?

Registration is open to all AAIM members and nonmembers.  Nonmembers are assessed a $200 nonmember fee in addition to the meeting registration fees, with the exception of Incoming Chief Residents registering for the 2016 APDIM Chief Resident Meeting.

How much is registration?

Is there a discount for early registration?

Yes, if you register by Friday, March 11.  After this date AAIM will assess a $75 fee.

When does online registration close?

Registration closes Wednesday, April 6, after which time registrations will only be accepted onsite and with an additional $100 onsite registration fee.

How do I pay for my registration?

AAIM accepts payments by check, MasterCard, and Visa only.  Credit card payments are processed immediately; the payment confirmation email is your receipt.  Check payments must be mailed to AAIM with a copy of the confirmation email.  Sending checks without the confirmation email will delay or prevent processing of payment and registration.  The address for mailing check payments is provided when registration is complete.  Please note processing time for checks is approximately three weeks.

Payment is required prior to attending the conference.  Participants whose registration fees are unpaid at the time of arrival will be required to submit payment or proof of payment prior to receiving registration material and attending their meeting.

How do I know if I am registered?

A confirmation notice is sent to the registrant once a registration has been processed.  Please review the email confirmation to ensure that AAIM has the correct contact information and that you have registered for the correct meetings.

If you do not receive a confirmation email, in most cases, your registration has not been processed.  AAIM cannot accept responsibility for claims of registration if you cannot provide the confirmation email.

What if I need to cancel my registration?

All cancellations must be received in writing by Wednesday, April 6, 2016, to be eligible for a refund.  Registration cancellations received after this date will not be refunded.  All cancellations are subject to a $100 administrative fee and must be provided in writing for auditing purposes.  If you need to cancel your registration but have not paid the registration fee, you are still responsible for the $100 cancellation fee or full registration fee if the cancellation request is received after April 6.  Cancellations may be emailed to educationalprograms@im.org or faxed to (703) 519-1893.

Are there daily conference registration fees?

No, if you plan to attend any part of the conference, you must register for it entirety.  For more information on registration fees, please visit the registration page.

Can I bring a guest?

Yes, guest registration is available for $75 and can be purchased onsite.  Guest registration only allows your guest to attend breakfasts and receptions with you. 

Can I enter the exhibit hall without registering for the meeting?

No, if you are not registered for the meeting, you will not be permitted entrance into the exhibit hall.  Additionally, if you are registered for the meeting but are not wearing your meeting badge, you will not be permitted entrance into the exhibit hall.

What meals are included in my registration?

Registration includes breakfast, lunch, coffee breaks, and one reception.

Hotel and Transportation

Where is the meeting taking place?

The 2016 APDIM Spring Conference is taking place at The Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV.

How do I make my hotel reservation?

Please visit the Hotel and Travel Information page for information on how to reserve your hotel room.

Is there a discounted room rate for meeting participants?

Yes, AAIM has secured a limited block of guest rooms at The Mirage at a special group rate.  Please see the hotel and travel information page to find out more about the rate and how to book your hotel room.

Is there a resort fee?

Yes, a daily resort fee of $22 per night, will be charged in addition to the group rate.  The resort fee includes in-room wired and wireless high-speed internet access, ten copies or faxes at the business center, access to the Fitness Center at the Mirage Spa, daily newspaper, printing of boading passes, and unlimited local and toll-free calls.

Do I have to pay in advance for my hotel room?

When making your hotel reservation, you will be required to pay a deposit for your first night’s stay, including tax and resort fee.

What if I need to cancel my hotel reservation?

Please contact the hotel directly to cancel your hotel reservation, if you cancel at least forty-eight hours prior to your confirmed arrival date, then your first nights deposit will be refunded.

General

What is the dress code for the meeting?

The dress code is business casual attire.

How do I receive my CME credit?

Once the meeting has taken place, you will be sent a link to complete an evaluation of the meeting.  Upon completion of the evaluation you will be directed to the website to submit your CME credit.

What is the schedule for the 2016 APDIM Spring Conference?

The About the Conference page details all of the meetings offered at the conference and provide links to individual meeting pages and agendas. 

Is there a Wi-Fi connection available at the meeting?

No.  Unfortunately due to the exorbitant cost of Internet, APDIM are not able to provide Wi-Fi at the conference.  There are cyber cafes available in the exhibit hall with Internet.  If you are staying at the Mirage, internet in your guest room and in the hotel's public space is included in your guest room rate via the resort fee.  Please note however that this internet connection may not be avaliable in the meeting spaces.
