2017 CDIM Linda J. Marts Administrator Service Award Recipient
CDIM awarded Julie Randall the 2017 CDIM Linda J. Marts Administrator Service Award during Academic Internal Medicine 2017, held March 19-22 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, MD. CDIM President L. James Nixon, MD, presented the award to Ms. Randall during the CDIM Annual Awards Lunch.
The CDIM Linda J. Marts Administrator Service Award recognizes a CDIM education administrator member who has contributed greatly to the association. A member of CDIM since 2002, Ms. Randall has served on the CDIM Clerkship Administrators Planning Committee as well as the Professional Development Committee. She has also served as a Councilor on the Clerkship Administrators Advisory Council. Ms. Randall is a co-author of A Guidebook for Clerkship Administration as well as a position paper that is being completed by a joint task force with the CDIM Clerkship Administrators and the Association of Program Directors in Internal Medicine (APDIM) Program Administrators., and she is credited by her nominators as someone who “encourages new members to become active and participate in the organization to be able to reach their full potential.” She has also received her certification with the Administrators/Coordinator Certification in Undergraduate Medical Education (ACUME).
Ms. Randall is cited by her nominator as being known for her enthusiasm, professionalism, and leadership skills. She has been dedicated to mentoring new members through volunteering in the Clerkship Administrators Mentoring Program (CAMP).
Ms. Randall is currently the Clinical Program Policy & Evaluation System Manager at Michigan State University.
