The T. Franklin Williams Scholars program provides GEMSSTAR award recipients, over a two-year period, up to $50,000 in direct professional development funding and up to $3,000 in travel support to the American Geriatrics Society (AGS) annual meeting. T. Franklin Williams Scholars program is a joint initiative of ASP and the seven internal medicine subspecialty sponsor societies
Interested physicans must contact the T. Franklin Williams Scholar grants manager at the sponsor society that is most relevant to your research to receive information specific to the sponsor society’s application process.
What if my society is not listed?
If your society is not listed as a partner for the TFWS Award, please contact your society and inquire about awards that could potentially support your Professional Development Plan (PDP). In addition to specialty societies, there are other resources for PDP funding. Below are several suggestions from NIA:
