Membership: Affiliate Members
To date, 56 institutions have added individuals to APM's membership as affiliate members. Affiliate members represent the full spectrum of faculty who have leadership roles in departments of internal medicine. These members come from
such venues as the Department of Veterans Affairs medical centers, affiliated teaching hospitals, or faculty leaders within the institutional member department.
APM seeks nominations for affiliate membership twice a year, in March and September.
Affiliate Member Benefits
All affiliate members are:
- invited to every APM meeting.
- eligible to serve on all APM committees and task forces and as an At-Large Member on the Board of Directors.
- eligible to vote through a caucus with their institutional member.
- invited to receive all APM publications, including The American Journal of Medicine, AAIM Connection, and Academic Internal Medicine Insight.
