APM New Chairs Program
The APM New Chairs Program is held annually in conjunction with the APM Winter Meeting (usually late February or early March.)
Supervised by the APM Program Planning Committee, the program offers sessions on topics of interest to new chairs, including working with deans and hospital administrators, accounting and management, faculty development, and balancing the tripartite mission of departments of internal medicine.
The day-long program is offered to new chairs (less than two years as chair) without charge. However, participation is limited to APM members and invited guests.
