Nicole V. Baptista

Nicole serves on the Policy Team and focuses her efforts on supporting association committees, tracking legislation and regulations, and updating the membership on important public policy issues. Before joining the alliance staff in August 2004, she worked in the office of Representative Martin T. Meehan (D-MA). Nicole has a bachelor’s degree in international affairs from The George Washington University.
Charles P. Clayton

Charlie supervises activities in the policy arena, which include policy development, legislative and regulatory advocacy, and development and implementation of activities in support of the alliance's policy agenda. Before joining the associations’ staff in July 1993, he worked for Drew University and US Naval Academy. A member of Phi Beta Kappa, Charlie has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Drew University, where he received the H. Jerome Cranmer Prize in economic history and the Lisa Marcus Memorial Prize for political science.
Sheila T. Costa

Sheila oversees the team responsible for the associations’ meetings and communications. Before joining the associations’ staff in June 1997, she worked for PortFolio Magazine and Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine. Sheila has a master’s degree in English from George Mason University and a bachelor’s degree in English from College of William and Mary.
Elizabeth M. Crego

Elizabeth oversees the operations arena, which includes leading the team responsible for administration, finance, and human resources. Before joining the alliance staff in August 2007, she worked for California Rural Water Association. Elizabeth has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University at Sacramento.

Samantha is part of the Operations Team, which focuses on the areas of administration, finance, and human resources. Before joining the alliance staff in April 2008, she worked for ARAMARK. Samantha has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from James Madison University.
Aliza Epstein

Aliza supports the Member Services Team—which is responsible for member services, governance, and information technology—by managing recruitment and retention efforts, staffing membership committees, and developing new member benefits. Before joining the staff in February 2008, she worked for Woodward Communications. Aliza has a bachelor’s degree in English from Goucher College.
Scott M. Gehring

Scott provides support for membership and information technology, which includes coordinating logistics for leadership and governance, overseeing the list server activities for each association, and distributing new member material. Before joining the alliance staff in January 2007, he worked at Business Higher Education Forum. Scott has a bachelor’s degree in government from Georgetown University.

Kyle B. Jones

Kyle manages association leadership and national meetings, focusing on preparing meeting logistics, working with hotel conference services and reservations staff, supporting program planning and agenda development efforts, and administering continuing medical education accreditation. Before joining the alliance staff in November 2003, she worked for Alumni Association at University of Virginia. Kyle has a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from University of Virginia.

Jessie supports the Policy Team by providing administrative support to the team, tracking legislative and regulatory developments, conducting research on health care issues, attending hearings and meetings, and supporting the implementation of ongoing member service programs. Before joining the alliance staff in September 2007, she worked for Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies. Jessie has a bachelor’s degree in English from Georgetown University.

Meredith supports the associations’ national meetings, primarily by managing meeting registration and speaker interactions as well as providing administrative assistance. Before joining the alliance staff, she worked for Management Solutions Plus. Meredith has a bachelor’s degree in government from University of Maryland at College Park.

Dane assists the Member Services Team—which is responsible for member services, governance, and information technology—by providing administrative support, maintaining membership databases, interacting with committees, processing applications, and maintaining the association websites. Before joining the staff in February 2008, he worked for The Review. Dane has a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Delaware.

Cait supports association communications by administering committees activities, managing publication marketing and order fulfillment, and assisting in editing and producing association publications. Janet supervises activities in the member services arena, which includes information technology, governance, and membership. Prior to assuming this position, Janet was Director of Member Services for APM, ASP, CDIM, and AIM. Before joining the associations' staff in July 2000, she worked for American Society of Bone and Mineral Research. Janet has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Miami University of Ohio.
