The Alliance Announces Changes to Board Governance for July 1

Thank you for your support of the Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine (AAIM). In FY 2025, the Alliance undertook an effort to examine the governance structure to ensure our ongoing success. With significant efforts from the AAIM Governance Committee, and the support of AMC Consulting Services, the AAIM Board of Directors is pleased to announce that the first phase of the governance change is approved and will begin July 1, 2025. In summary, to continue the evolution of the Alliance, the AAIM Board of Directors will move from an appointment-based entity to become a competency-based, expertise-driven entity. NEW - Business of Medicine for UME-GME Faculty Online Course

The Alliance is pleased to introduce a new online course, the first for faculty physicians! Registration for the six-week virtual Business of Medicine for UME-GME Faculty Online Course will open on February 27 and the course begins with an introductory live event on April 30. Hybrid coursework combines the convenience of self-study with the interactive benefit of live Zoom sessions. Live sessions will be recorded and made available to course participants within 24 hours in the AAIM Digital Learning Center.
