New Chairs Program

2023 APM New Chairs and Emerging Leaders Program

Wednesday, March 1, 2023
The US GRANT, San Diego, CA

APM offers a full-day program for new chairs and emerging leaders of departments of internal medicine. While designed for chairs who have served fewer than three-years in the role, faculty at all levels are welcome to participate. The 2023 program will offer sessions on leading a department of internal medicine; developing successful partnerships with key leaders—including the dean, other department chairs, the chief administrative officer, and the faculty leadership team—and other challenges of being a chair.

Separate registration required.

Jeanne M. Marrazzo portrait

I attended the [2022] New Chairs and Emerging Leaders session, and found it to be an incredibly useful and even inspirational and energizing use of my time. It was clear that the organizers had carefully considered the selection of speakers and topics. All of it was super useful and made me really glad I attended. The rest of the meeting also provided very insightful content, and the opportunity for networking in a relatively small setting was unparalleled.
