As Dean for North America, Dr. Ghazi oversees all aspects of clinical education for North American students entering into and enrolled in clinical clerkships, preparing for USMLE Step 2, applying for residency and licensure, and advises Administration and Faculty on curriculum and policy matters pertaining to clinical education in North America. As an Associate Professor of Basic Sciences, Dr. Ghazi teaches Cardiovascular system-based modules in the preclinical phase of the OUM curriculum. He is also the clinical director of Internal Medicine. His other responsibilities include Chairman of Admissions Committee, and Faculty IT/Exam Lead. Areas of interest include curriculum design, faculty development, problem-based learning (PBL), team-based learning (TBL), case-based learning (CBL), medical simulations, educational technology, blended learning, history of medicine, humanity in medical, assessment design, competence-based education, learning psychology, mindset theory, leadership, educational scholarship, medical writing, artificial intelligence, learning informatics and data analytics.
