Recommendations to Promote Equity in IM Clerkship Assessment and Grading
When:
Sep 23, 2021 from 02:00 PM to 03:00 PM (ET)
The pervasiveness of individual and structural bias in the clerkship grading process is widely documented. In this webinar, the authors of the
Alliance recommendations
to mitigate the impact of individual and structural bias on the clerkship grading process will use examples to discuss strategies to promote equity in grading, such as deliberate attention to structured grading criteria, objective skill-based assessment, novel assessment domains, evaluator training, grading committees, intentional policies for standardized tests, and intentional narrative language, and other evidence-based tools.
