How long have you been a member of AAIM?

Six years.

What is your favorite part of your job?

Teaching the younger generation of students and residents is quiet humbling and the impact we make in helping them choose their career paths for their success as well as the community is the most rewarding experience of all.

How has the AAIM membership been of value to you and your career?

Every AAIM meeting provided a better insight into the solutions, for the learners’ problems. They have helped me grow professionally and intellectually, and I’ve been implementing one new thing at a time in our IM Residency program each year.

What’s your favorite moment of your career so far?

Understanding the growing pains of administration and at the same time adapting to the changes in our teaching world.

What was your childhood dream job?

Helping the underserved patients - my current position helps in the dual role of taking care of them while also encouraging the younger generation to think of the vulnerable population.

How do you spend your free time?

Social gathering with my family and friends, and self-care and exercise—practicing what I preach to my students, residents, and patients.

What is your favorite book (or movie)?

Book: Mindset- The New Psychology of Success

What is the best advice that you have ever received?

“Persistence is the key to success”
