Developed jointly by HRSA, ABIM, the American Board of Pediatrics, and the American Board of Family Medicine, the Primary Care Faculty Development Initiative (PCFDI) is a pilot program designed to provide four interdisciplinary faculty teams in internal medicine, pediatrics, and family medicine a no-cost opportunity to engage in a collaborative hands-on learning experience focusing on how to train primary care residents to practice safely and effectively in a rapidly evolving health care system.

Letters of intent now due December 14; applications due January 8.

General Internal Medicine Faculty Development Project

The goal of the General Internal Medicine Faculty Development Project, which ended September 30, 2002, is to improve the quality of internal medicine education medical students and residents receive in community-based settings.

Practice Improvement Module (PIM) Support

This website provides tools to assist residency program directors, faculty, and administrators implement the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM's) practice improvement modules (PIMs) in residency programs.
