The 2017 APM Winter Meeting will address a variety of topics, including diversity and unconscious bias, new payment systems, service lines, and a debate about open journal access. Additionally, participants will also have the opportunity to attend plenary and workshop sessions at Academic Internal Medicine Week 2017.
APM will offer a full-day program for new chairs and emerging leaders of departments of internal medicine on Sunday, March 19, 2017, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The program is designed for chairs who have served fewer than two years in the role, but interested faculty at all levels are welcome to participate. The 2017 program will offer sessions on managing human resources, financial management, understanding the clinical mission, and developing the research mission.
This highly interactive program also includes time to network with colleagues and to ask questions of experienced chairs.
