Due to the prevalence of attrition clauses that require a group sell at least 90% of the rooms it blocks or pay the difference, ASP is forced to reserve a smaller number of rooms than the expected number of meeting participants. Rooms will be available at the discounted rate on a space-available, rate-available basis until Friday, January 2, 2009. Once the block is full, the hotel is not contractually obligated to provide rooms at the negotiated rate even if the deadline has not passed.
