These activities provide opportunities for subspecialty division chiefs to disucss emerging topics, share best practices, and network with colleagues.

ASP-AIM Joint Precourse: "Developing Yourself and a Successful Division"
Was held October 10, 2012, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. MST - Arizona Biltmore

The 2012 ASP-AIM Joint Precourse provided a new opportunity for division chiefs and division administrators to participate in an advanced training session focused on building a successful specialty division in a department of medicine. The precourse featured presentations by physicians and administrative leaders focused on faculty recruitment and retention, compensation structures, funds flow, relationship management, effective leadership, and strategic planning.

The third annual ASP-AIM Joint Precourse is set to be held at Academic Internal Medicine Week 2013. For questions regarding the precourse, contact ASP Member Services.
