Categories, Criteria, and Application
CDIM represents the individuals responsible for teaching internal medicine to medical students. Each clerkship is represented by the clerkship director and other physicians and administrators involved in the medicine clerkship
- Institutional membership in CDIM is open to the clerkship director designated by the chair of the department of internal medicine at an accredited US or Canadian medical school.
Dues are $400 per year.
- Individual membership in CDIM is available for other physicians who spend a significant amount of
their time teaching in the third- and fourth-year clerkships, clerkship directors at accredited teaching
hospitals, Introduction to Clinical Medicine faculty, and other physicians involved in undergraduate medical
education.
Dues are $100 per year.
- Associate membership in CDIM includes non-physician clerkship administrators and coordinators as well as other individuals who fulfill major support roles for internal medicine training.
Dues are $100 per year.
