Membership: Membership Categories and Criteria
APM membership is open to chairs of the departments of internal medicine at US and Canadian medical schools accredited by the Liaison Committee for Medical Education or the Committee on Accreditation of Canadian Medical Schools. Beginning in 2005, APM opened membership to allow chairs to nominate two affiliate members. Affiliate members represent leaders in the department of medicine or in the academic internal medicine community in areas related to research, education, or clinical care.
- US institutional membership is $4,000/$5,000/$6,000 a year depending on the size of the department of medicine. Canadian institutional membership is $3,100 a year.
