The Administrators of Internal Medicine (AIM) is the national organization of business administrators in departments of internal medicine at medical schools and academic health centers.
Founded in 1980, AIM’s mission is to promote excellence in the management of departments of internal medicine. To meet this mission, the association provides services, training, and educational opportunities for administrative staff in departments of internal medicine.
AIM serves internal medicine faculty and staff by:
- Promoting the concept of professional management in departments of internal medicine.
- Providing a forum for discussion of management problems within departments of internal medicine.
- Providing a mechanism for exchange of information.
- Advocating for issues concerning management within departments of medicine.
