AAIM Encourages Fellowship Programs to Register with the Match
The Medical Specialties Matching Program (MSMP) of the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) opened its registration system for the 2006 match to interested fellowship programs January 4, 2006. Fellowship programs planning to participate in the 2006 match (for positions beginning July 2007) must register with NRMP. Fellowship programs should register with NRMP before the end of March 2006 so that applicants will be able to rank the programs; however, the registration system remains open until as late as May 24, 2006.
Fellowships in the following internal medicine subspecialties can participate in MSMP this year:
- Cardiovascular disease.
- Gastroenterology.
- Hematology.
- Hematology/oncology.
- Infectious diseases.
- Oncology.
- Pulmonary and critical care medicine.
- Rheumatology.
